Find My Housing
Cookie Policy
Last Updated: November 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Find My Housing ("we", "us", or "our") and the services used on this site use cookies and similar technologies. Read it with our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, and shared.
1. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. We and our service providers may also use local or session storage, pixels, web beacons, scripts, and similar technologies. These technologies can recognize a browser or device, keep a session working, remember information in your browser, measure site use, protect the site, and support advertising.
Some technologies are set by Find My Housing (first-party); others are set by a provider whose service is used on a page (third-party). Storage duration and names vary by browser, feature, provider, and your settings. We do not control the cookies set by third-party services.
2. Categories We Use
| Category | Purpose and examples | Who may provide it |
|---|---|---|
| Essential and security | Maintain sign-in sessions and protect forms and the site from abuse. These technologies support features you request. | Find My Housing and, for bot protection, Cloudflare Turnstile. |
| Site operation and attribution | Use browser storage to retain temporary state and campaign/referral attribution so we can understand how visitors arrive and keep the requested experience working. | Find My Housing, using browser local or session storage. |
| Analytics and measurement | When configured, measure page visits, interactions, traffic sources, and site performance. Data may include device and browser details, referring page, event information, and online identifiers. | Google Analytics and PostHog, when enabled in our site configuration. |
| Advertising | When Google AdSense is enabled, serve and measure ads, limit repeated ads, help detect invalid activity, and, subject to your choices and applicable law, personalize ads using activity on this or other sites. | Google LLC and the advertising technology providers enabled in our AdSense account. The providers may change. |
AdSense advertising cookies may be associated with Google or domains such as doubleclick.net. Google and its partners may also use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers in connection with ad requests and measurement. Non-personalized ads may still rely on cookies or similar identifiers for frequency capping and aggregated reporting. See Google's explanation of how AdSense uses cookies.
3. Advertising Providers and Choices
Google's advertising cookies can help Google and its partners show ads based on visits to Find My Housing or other sites. Google may use first-party or third-party cookies for advertising. The specific ad technology providers depend on the settings in our AdSense account; Google maintains the current provider information and links to provider data-use details in its AdSense ad technology provider information.
- Change Google personalized advertising preferences in Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of some participating companies' personalized advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.
- Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
These controls may reduce personalized ads but do not necessarily stop all ads or all storage used for non-personalized advertising, security, frequency capping, or reporting. You can also manage or delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies or storage may affect sign-in and site features.
4. Consent and Regional Requirements
Some U.S. state laws give residents the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. AdSense offers a U.S. state regulations message that can display a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option to visitors in supported states and communicate their choice to Google using the IAB Global Privacy Protocol (GPP). We must configure and publish that message in AdSense Privacy & messaging and ensure the ad partners we enable respect applicable opt-out choices. See Google's instructions to create a U.S. state regulations message.
Google may also receive Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals directly for certain applicable U.S. state ad requests and apply restricted data processing. That Google-side handling does not automatically cover our other analytics or service providers; their handling must be addressed separately.
This policy provides information; reading it does not itself record a consent choice. Where applicable law requires consent before cookies or similar storage are used, or before personal data is used for ads personalization, that choice must be collected through an appropriate consent mechanism. Google requires publishers serving personalized ads to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. See Google's current consent management requirements for publishers.
The ad technology providers enabled for our AdSense account must be identified to users with links to their data-use information. The account's actual provider list and any consent-message configuration should be kept current as those settings change.
